With the strong Canadian dollar, it’s very tempting to buy camera equipment from the USA. However, there’s a big disadvantage when it comes to Nikon by doing so. Nikon does not honor warranties from equipment bought outside Canada. You would have to get it serviced in the USA. A summary of the different warranty programs is on this site.

I picked this up from the Globe: The US Ambassador to Canada is a blogger. He fills his official blog with posts about his introduction to Canada and moving into his new home in Ottawa. While I’m sure it won’t contain anything controversial, it’s pretty cool to see some inner workings of diplomats.

I’m hoping he keeps up the blog, as sometimes blogs are started and abandoned fairly quickly.

It was quite a shame that Audi chose to delay launch one of the best configurations of the new A4. However, they just announced that the New A4 can be configured with the 2.0T, with manual transmission, and quattro all-wheel drive. Also newly available is a front-wheel drive version with a continuously variable transmission – called Multitronic for Audi.
