LIGHTS has released her video for the new Saviour single. This is the first single that is part of her first full album due out in a few months. The full video is up top, and a “making of” from her video blog is below.
Danger Mouse, one half of the group Gnarles Barkley, was going to release a new album titled “Dark Night of the Soul”. However disagreements with his record label had prompted him to release only a blank CDR, but complete with liner notes, a book and case will be sold. The case will be labeled “For Legal Reasons, enclosed CD-R contains no music. Use it as you will.”
In the meantime, the complete album can be heard at NPR, who is broadcasting the album as a stream. It’s currently the most popular content on their website. A good use of public broadcasting, if you ask me. Check it out at NPR’s website.
I haven’t posted much about LIGHTS because now she has her own blog (and a great video blog, at that), however she posted a new song which isn’t available anywhere on it, so it’s good to share.
This clip of the ending credits of an anime named Ride Back caught my attention. I like it – it’s impossible to find a track of it on this side of the pond. It’s called Kioku (Memory) by Younha feat. GOKU and is actually a Korean artist (k-pop) yet still featured in a Japanese anime.
MuchOnDemand hosted LIGHTS on Tuesday where they played her new video for February Air. Video is supposed to be available online on Friday. In the meantime, here are the MOD videos of her interview and two live performances:
Found this great cover of one of LIGHTS songs. I’m relearning the guitar (which i abandoned for many years) and I’d like to get good enough to cover a song I like as well as this guy did.
