How do you improve on an amazing supercar? Audi followed Lambo’s “superlegga” and Ferrari’s “Scuderia” ideals by making their V10 R8 lighter and increasing power, albiet slightly. The result is the Audi R8 GT. One-hundred pounds lighter and running a new 560hp version of it’s V10, this is a limited edition with only 333 planned to be made.

The weight savings were achieved by replacing the motorized rear spoiler for a fixed unit, more carbon-fiber panels, thinner glass, lightweight carpets and seats. With LED headlights and carbon ceramic brakes as standard, don’t expect this R8 to be cheap – it will probably push the price well into Lamborghini and Ferrari territory. Quite a feat for a German brand that doesn’t start with “P”.

The Ferrari 458 is the replacement for the F430. Many journalists are releasing their reviews of it, and Evo Magazine from the UK produced these two videos.

It’s not every day that there is a launch of a new Ferrari. The Italian company took the wraps off the replacement for the F430 this week by unveiling the Ferrari 458 Italia.

It should be arriving on our shores next year – if you can’t wait, the Ferrari California is available for sale.

Seeing a Ferrari Enzo is probably one of the rarest car sitings in Canada – there can’t be very many people that satisified Ferrari’s strict ownership requirements. In fact, exclusive existing Ferrari owners were invited to buy one – you couldn’t just walk into a dealership and buy one.

It’s always a big deal when Ferrari creates a brand new model. The Ferrari GT will be introduced at the low end of the Ferrari range, below that of the F430. There’s not much to know about the car now, except that it’s definitely official. Ferrari created their own “countdown site” where you can hear the sound of their latests creation.
