The unit owners of 1 Bloor have been eagerly awaiting news of the development this week. This was the week that all the timers ran out – extentions, agreements, etc. all expired on Thursday. On Friday the display center was locked tight and this morning the Toronto Star said there is a huge legal fight brewing for the ownership of the land. The original developer cannot secure funding from a reliable source and the owner of the original loan is calling it in. Looks like the empty lot on the corner of Yonge and Bloor is going to stay empty for many years to come.
