What Happened to Banana Republic?

I don’t know what changed, but I don’t like anything at Banana Republic anymore. They used to be my go-to store for a work dress shirt, some dress pants, or other daily wear item. I remember being given a discount card after a purchase and going back to find nothing I liked. This weekend was a 30% off sale and again I found nothing I liked.

    So then… I have to ask.. Where is ‘the’ place these days for men to shop for work attire? BR has some nice ‘premium’ stuff but its only worth buying at xmas when everything is 50% off.

    honestly, my work wardrobe has suffered a bit in the last year. zara is ok. with prices so high at BR, it’s actually easier to find better quality at the same price at harry’s and holts.
